Floyd Valley Healthcare has a full-time position for a cook in our nutrition services department. The hours are 11:30am - 7:30pm and rotating weekends and holidays.
The Cook is responsible for preparing hot food for patients, cafeteria and our assisted living facility. The cook position also supervises the other dietary staff during manager's absence. This position may cross-train for other food service positions as assigned by the department manager. Must complete ServSafe training within one year of employment.
1 year of experience as cook or prep kitchen work desired, previous supervisory experience a plus. Must be able to read and write English and possess good basic math skills to understand reading and adjusting recipes. Some computer skills needed. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
