Dock Coordinator II – North WarehousePalmer Candy is looking for a Dock Coordinator Level II at our North Warehouse location. Hours for this position are 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday – Thursday, with overtime hours scheduled frequently on Friday and Saturday as needed.The Dock Coordinator II – North Warehouse is responsible for all operations at our North Warehouse facility. This includes receiving and unloading trucks from outside suppliers and internal inventory transfers, put-aways and stock arrangements, order picking and verification, pallet tagging, and loading both customer shipments and internal inventory transfers. A Dock Coordinator II is expected to be adaptable, responsive to operational needs, and able to contribute to the overall efficiency of warehousing operations.Operate forklift and electric/manual pallet jackCoordinate workload to ensure that all activities are completed in a timely mannerSafely load and unload products from trailersArrange stock in the warehouseAccurately and efficiently pick inventory to customer orders – verify that the correct product is in the bin, scan bar coded boxes with hand-held RF scanner, pick correct number of cases to the order, and inspect products for defects and/or damageShrink-wrap finished pallets using a wrapping machine and stage orders in the warehouseEnsure proper code date / lot code rotation using FEFOCreate pallet identification labels as required by customersMaintain a clean working environmentPerform simple maintenance and housekeeping tasksCheck equipment to ensure health and safety requirements are metOther duties as assigned.Required Skills/Abilities:Must be able to perform basic mathematical calculationsProficient with PC systems and software applicationsAbility to read and understand product labels, lot codes, packing lists, bills of lading, and other shipping and receiving documentsStrong attention to detail, time management skills, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environmentAbility to communicate effectively across all functions within the plant and the ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with individuals at all levelsAbility to work overtime as needed and as requiredAbility to maintain acceptable standards of conductEducation and Experience:High school diploma/GED required5+ years for forklift experienceValid driver's license and access to reliable transportation for movement between warehouse locations in Sioux CityWMS and scanner experience requiredExperience working with food products and familiarity with lot codes and expiration dates, FEFO rotation, etc.Physical Requirements:Warehouse environmentLift 5 – 25 pounds frequently and up to 40 – 50 pounds occasionally.Sitting and/or standing for long periods of timeMust be able to go up and down stairs and walk to other departments in the manufacturing facility.Repetitive motion and fast paced movement.Work may require bending, stooping, squatting, and reaching.Temperatures of warehouse may vary.This job description does not list all duties of the job.
