General LaborerThis role supports the production of irrigation tubing for agricultural customers by handling, inspecting, and preparing drainage pipe after it is manufactured. You will work in a fast-paced warehouse environment, focusing on quality, safety, and efficient handling of materials throughout the production process.ResponsibilitiesCoil drainage pipe after it is manufactured, ensuring each coil is neat and secure.Inspect pipe carefully to ensure there are no defects, kinks, or visible damage before it moves forward in the process.Wrap twine tightly around pipe coils to keep them secure and stable during handling and transport.Use a knife safely and accurately to cut pipe to the required lengths.Handle general labor tasks in a warehouse and production setting, including moving, loading, and organizing materials as needed.Operate basic hand tools and power tools in a safe and efficient manner.Assist with packaging and preparing finished products for shipment.Follow all safety procedures and guidelines related to machinery, tools, and static electricity from the pipe.Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors in English through speaking, reading, and writing.Maintain a clean, orderly work area and contribute to a positive, cooperative team environment.Essential SkillsAbility to communicate effectively in English through speaking, reading, and writing.Capability to stand and work on your feet for an entire 8–10 hour shift on concrete flooring.Comfort using a knife to cut pipe safely and accurately.Experience performing general labor tasks in a warehouse, production, or assembly environment (minimum 6 months).Ability to use basic hand tools and power tools safely.Reliability and consistency in following instructions and meeting daily production expectations.Attention to detail when inspecting pipe for defects or kinks.Willingness to work in a physically demanding environment with repetitive tasks.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in warehouse operations, including loading and packaging.Experience in production, assembly, or machine operation.Comfort working around equipment that may generate static electricity.No formal education required for this role.Ability to follow dress code requirements, including closed-toe shoes, jeans, and appropriate shirts.Positive attitude and ability to work well in a small team environment.Why Work Here?Employees enjoy a supportive, small-town culture where supervisors are understanding and approachable. The role is on first shift, typically running from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, providing a consistent daytime schedule.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Sioux City, SD.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.25 - $18.25/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
