As a Field Service Technician, you'll install, commission, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain sophisticated industrial machinery at customer facilities throughout North America. You'll diagnose electrical, electronic, mechanical, pneumatic, and controls-related issues while working with CNC equipment, PLC-controlled machinery, motors, drives, sensors, variable frequency drives, industrial communication networks, and automated production systems. You'll utilize electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, diagnostic software, and precision test equipment to identify root causes, restore equipment to production, and provide customers with technical training and preventative maintenance recommendations. This role offers a high level of independence while partnering with engineering, technical support, and service leadership to solve complex equipment challenges.

This opportunity is an excellent fit for veterans with strong electromechanical troubleshooting experience gained through military technical specialties. Navy Electrician's Mates (EM), Electronics Technicians (ET), Gas Turbine Systems Technicians-Electrical (GSE), Fire Controlmen (FC), Army 94-series Electronics Repairers, 91-series Mechanical Maintenance specialties, Air Force Avionics, Electrical & Environmental Systems, Missile & Radar Maintenance, and Marine Corps avionics and electronics maintainers all possess highly transferable skills. Veterans experienced with troubleshooting electrical systems, automation, control circuits, diagnostics, technical documentation, and customer-facing maintenance environments will transition exceptionally well into this role.

This is a travel-intensive field service position supporting customers throughout North America. Technicians typically travel during the workweek and are home most weekends, making it an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy seeing new locations and working in different environments with new customers. Candidates should live near a major airport to support efficient travel. The client provides extensive product training to develop expertise on proprietary equipment and technologies, allowing technicians with strong technical fundamentals to quickly become subject matter experts. Daily work involves customer interaction, independent troubleshooting, equipment commissioning, preventive maintenance, and hands-on repairs in industrial manufacturing environments.
