Job Title: Retail Clerk

Reports to: Candy Store Manager

Job Summary:

At the Candy Store we strive to create a welcoming, fun environment for all who visit. In this position you must be willing to complete the everyday tasks associated with a retail position, while having a positive, fun, and professional attitude. Be a leader in customer service, always remaining positive and professional

Supervisory Responsibilities: N/A

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist customers with all their requests and needs

• Operate a cash register which includes opening and closing registers as well as troubleshooting register issues

• Follow all alcohol sales standards

• Stock products and make sure shelves are organized and clean

• Assist with Store decoration

• Assist with inventory control

• Create orders for pickup

• Occasionally make deliveries and going to post office or to the bank for change orders.

• Follow food safety procedures and coach to those standards.

• Take orders over the phone, giving accurate prices, timeline for orders being completed, delivered, or picked up.

• Understand computer system including inventory, manufacturing, and stock transactions

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Must be at least 16 years old

• Have strong verbal and written communication skills

• Must love interacting with people

• Have the ability to stand for the majority of your shift

• Have basic computer skills

Education/Experience:

• High School diploma or GED preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to be certified to operate an electric pallet jack.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
