Position SummaryThe Industrial Foreman is responsible for leading and supervising industrial crews performing process piping, utility piping, equipment installation, welding operations, and related industrial construction activities. This role serves as the working field leader for the crew and is responsible for coordinating labor, equipment, safety, production, and quality on industrial construction projects.The Industrial Foreman is expected to have advanced knowledge of industrial piping systems, mechanical construction practices, and welding operations while providing leadership, direction, and mentorship to Pipe Fitters, Welders, Operators, Laborers, and other field personnel.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and supervise industrial crews on active construction projectsCoordinate daily crew activities, productivity goals, manpower needs, and equipmentOversee installation of process piping systems, utility piping systems, stainless steel piping systems, carbon steel piping systems, valves and instrumentation, mechanical equipment, and pipe supports and pipe racksPerform and oversee fitting, threading, grooving, welding coordination, and pipe layout and installationRead and interpret plans, elevations, sections, details, PDS's, P&ID's, ISO drawings, and mechanical and structural drawingsEnsure piping systems and equipment installations meet project specifications, tolerances, and quality standardsCoordinate material staging, tooling, welding consumables, and equipment needed for daily operationsConduct/Complete and enforce daily JSAs, safety meetings, hot work procedures, confined space procedures, and company safety policiesMonitor field productivity and maintain project schedules and labor budgetsCoordinate with Superintendents, Project Managers, Engineers, subcontractors, inspectors, suppliers, and ownersPerform routine QA/QC inspections to minimize rework and punch list itemsMaintain organized, clean, and safe work areasTrain and mentor Pipe Fitters, Welders, Operators, and LaborersCommunicate work expectations and production goals clearly to crewsEnforce company policies, attendance expectations, and professional conduct standardsAssist with deliveries, material coordination, project logistics, and scheduling needsSupport shutdown work, emergency repairs, and schedule-driven industrial projects when necessaryOther duties as assignedQualifications4+ years of industrial construction or maintenance experience preferredPrevious experience as a Pipe Fitter, Welder, or lead industrial crew member preferredStrong understanding of process piping systems, utility piping systems, mechanical construction practices, welding operations, and industrial project sequencingExperience with stainless steel piping systems, carbon steel piping systems, valve and instrumentation installation, and pipe rack installationExperience working in industrial environments including food processing facilities, agricultural processing facilities, and water/wastewater treatment facilitiesAbility to read and interpret prints and construction drawings, P&ID's, ISO drawingsTechnical manuals, manufacturer installation instructions, weld symbols and weld procedures, and mechanical and structural drawingsThorough knowledge of OSHA regulations, RP Constructors procedures, and industrial construction safety practicesStrong leadership, communication, planning, and organizational skillsAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships with owners, subcontractors, inspectors, suppliers, and RP Constructors personnelPositive attitude, strong work ethic, and team-oriented mindsetAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionKnowledge of computer systems and software applications necessary to complete assigned dutiesValid driver's license requiredEquipment operation experience preferredPhysical RequirementsAbility to work in varying weather conditions including extreme heat and coldAbility to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and access elevated work areasAbility to lift 75 to 100 pounds occasionallyAbility to perform repetitive lifting, carrying, and material handling throughout the workdayAbility to navigate active industrial construction sites safelyAbility to work extended hours, weekends, shutdown schedules, and outage work as project demands requireThis Job Description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the position.
