What You'll Be Doing:
As an In-Home Family Services Specialist, you'll work directly with families to help them overcome challenges and build skills for long-term success. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing in-home support and teaching practical skills to strengthen families.
- Connecting families with community resources such as schools, healthcare, and social services.
- Offering crisis intervention and guidance when needed.
- Building strong relationships with families and collaborating with professionals like teachers, doctors, and social workers.
- Developing service plans, monitoring progress, and maintaining accurate documentation.
Who We're Looking For:
- Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in human services or related field and 1 year of experience working with children and families
- OR (in rural Iowa) Associate's degree and 2 years of experience
- OR (in rural Iowa) 4 years combined education and experience
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (mileage reimbursed)
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- Bilingual skills are a plus
