• Perform defined work routines, using various dietary utensils, supplies, and equipment as assigned by the Dietary Manager
• Prepare and serve meals to cycle menu
• Monitor methods of food handling
• Coordinate food preparation and meal service
• Meet scheduled meal and snack times
• Follow federal and state long term care regulations and Dietary Department policies and procedures
• Prepare, season, cook, and serve for assigned meal: ensure appropriate portioned servings according to portion control standards
• Other assigned duties
• High school graduate or equivalent education preferred
• One year food service experience in healthcare dietary setting desired
• Must be patient and tolerant toward staff, residents, and family members
• Ability to read, understand, and follow recipe directions, diet orders, tray cards, and other work assignments
