Works closely with teachers and staff concerning accounting issues. Maintains accurate financial transactions and reconciles accounting records.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESPrepare and maintain records and reports required for financial records and payroll; process invoices and accounts payable.Ensure established procedures are followed, including securing onsite funds, preparing deposit slips, and transporting funds to the bank within established timeframes.Reconcile bank records and credit card invoices; maintain and monitor office petty cash fund.Assist and communicate with the principal on budgeted funds; prepare and submit information to accounts payable.Compile data from a wide variety of sources to comply with financial, legal, and/or administrative requirements.Maintain a wide variety of manual and electronic documents, confidential and non‑confidential files, and records for audit trail.Perform record‑keeping and clerical functions such as scheduling, copying, filing, and compiling lists to support administrators and/or department.Prepare written materials (reports, forms, letters, memos, budgets) for documentation and communication.Research topics (current practices, policies, education codes) to provide information for administrative requirements.Respond to inquiries from internal and external parties to provide information, facilitate communication, and/or provide direction.Screen inquiries of staff, students, parents, and the public to take appropriate action, interpret and apply policies, and/or direct to appropriate personnel.QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
