Your strong leadership will drive our company culture and strategies, ensuring exceptional service and efficient daily operations while embodying PetSmart's vision and values.Key ResponsibilitiesPeople Leadership:Responsible for recruiting, interviewing, hiring, coaching, and terminating associates.Foster an open-door culture by effectively engaging with associates and responding to feedback.Build and post schedules with input from the leadership team.Facilitate associate development through reviews, recognition, team activities, and training.Empower associates by delegating tasks effectively and encouraging ownership of results.Communicate business objectives clearly and adjust team priorities as needed.Manage complaints and grievances while promoting associate engagement.Store Experience:Lead the exceptional experience for both associates and pet parents.Ensure pets in our care are safe and well-cared for, addressing any concerns promptly.Continuously improve store operations and services.Collaborate with the leadership team to maximize the success of in-store and community events.Uphold compliance with store policies, procedures, and safety standards.Conduct monthly core and services walks to ensure policy execution.Maintain inventory management to ensure appropriate stock levels.Business Management:Execute corporate strategies to meet profitability goals.Analyze store performance metrics and develop improvement plans.Identify growth opportunities and hold associates accountable for results.Manage budgeted expenses related to labor, supplies, and operations.Process payroll weekly and manage labor within budget constraints.Qualifications4-6 years of retail leadership experience.Full‑time availability with a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.Proficiency in computer applications.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to maintain composure under pressure.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Physical RequirementsThe role involves standing, walking, climbing, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently. Occasional higher lifting may be required.
