Process Engineer – Water & Wastewater Systems

💧 About the Role

We are seeking a Process Engineer with strong expertise in water and wastewater systems to support and optimize operations across multiple manufacturing sites. This is a hands-on, high-impact role focused on all aspects of industrial water management, including treatment, quality, utilities, and infrastructure.

If you have experience in water treatment facilities, or fermentation processes, and sanitary/CIP systems, this is an excellent opportunity to drive innovation and operational excellence.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain operating practices for water and wastewater systems across all sites
• Oversee water quality specifications and ensure compliance with regulatory and internal standards
• Evaluate and implement water treatment technologies for manufacturing applications
• Manage water conditioning systems, utilities, and wastewater treatment infrastructure
• Support and optimize industrial wastewater pretreatment and primary treatment processes
• Design and improve CIP (Clean-In-Place) and sanitary systems
• Partner with operations teams to support fermentation systems and processes
• Troubleshoot system issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives
• Document procedures, SOPs, and best practices for water systems

✅ Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (BS) in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field
• 3+ years of engineering, supervisory, or leadership experience
• Hands-on experience with water treatment processes and/or system design, including:
• Coagulation
• Flocculation
• Sedimentation
• Membrane filtration
• Biological treatment
• Disinfection systems
• Experience working in water treatment or wastewater facilities
• Knowledge of industrial wastewater pretreatment and primary treatment methods
• Experience developing and documenting operating procedures for water systems
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite

➕ Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of HMI/SCADA systems and process automation
• Proficiency with 2D & 3D CAD software
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
• Background in utilities or plant-wide water system management
