Job Description Job Description POSITION DESCRIPTION We are currently seeking a full-time Civil/Municipal Engineer to sit in any of our office locations. Our team works with local communities on a wide range of civil, municipal, and environmental projects. We are looking for a Professional Engineer or Engineer in Training who would work with CAD Technicians, Construction Observers, Land Survey Chiefs and office staff in various capacities.V&K BENEFITSBenefits available 30 days following date of employment, includes: Medical, Dental, Vision, Short and Long Term Disability, plus additional supplemental insurancesClothing allowance401k with company matchPaid Time Off and 9 paid holidaysPaid training and development on and off-siteRESPONSIBILITIESPrepare detailed technical engineering reports.Prepare plans and specifications for specific projects.Work with Construction Observers/Resident Technicians during all facets of construction.Assist Project Manager in completing project within budget and on schedule.REQUIREMENTSBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering requiredUp to 10 years of civil engineering design experience preferred/desiredIowa PE license or EIT certification or ability to obtain either within 6 months preferredPrevious roadway, storm sewer, sanitary collection sewers and water distribution design experience desiredStrong written and verbal communication skills required
