Job Title: Medical Technologist
Client: Winnebago Comprehensive Healthcare System
Job Location- 235 S. Bluff St PO Box HH Winnebago, NE 68071
Pay Rate: $52.50/HR on W2
Shift: 7 AM to 730 PM . 7 on 7 off. 12 hr shifts. Weekends and Holidays will be required when it is your scheduled week to work.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Demonstrate the Winnebago Tribe's core mission, vision, and values. Under the direct supervision of the Laboratory Manager, the MT/MLT provides technical support by performing analyses, tests, and procedures that
assist in the prevention, diagnosis, or treatment of diseases. Accessioning/ ordering tests in the Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) and processing specimens with referral to the reference laboratories. Operates, maintains, and calibrates the equipment used to ensure it is operating efficiently and providing accurate results . Performs basic troubleshooting as needed. Maintain documentation according to regulatory agencies and write
laboratory policies and procedures. Candidate must demonstrate excellent customer service skills. Candidate must be comfortable with routine phlebotomy. Qualifications/Skills:
·Medical Laboratory Technician – Must have graduated from an approved school of Medical
Technology/Laboratory Science with an associate's degree and be
certified/registered by one of the following agencies: MLT(ASCP), MLT(AMT),
CLT(NCA)
Medical Technologist –
Must have graduated from an approved school of Medical Technology/Laboratory
Science with a bachelor's degree and be certified/registered by one of the
following agencies: MT(ASCP), MT(AMT), CLS(NCA).
Minimum of one year of experience preferred.
Knowledge of hospital laboratory practices, including infection control
requirements, chemical and biological hazards.
Knowledge of governmental and regulating policies and standards.

Licenses & Registrations:
All applicants will comply with 45 CFR 1301, Subpart D, Section 1301.31, C and D,
which require all prospective employees to sign a declaration prior to
employment regarding all arrests and convictions of child abuse or violent
felonies and to comply with PL 101-630 and PL 101-637 regarding criminal
records check.
Applicants must be certified by a Medical Laboratory Certification Agency (ASCP,AMT NCA)
