Customer Service:Assists patients with daily meal selections in the room service callcenter. Answers telephone promptly and courteously, respondsappropriately. Records data received and directs to appropriateperson or area. - Possesses basic diet knowledge and effective use of food/nutritionservice software. Uses nutrition services software to updatepatient services counts and production. - Offers suggestions to Dietitians and the Food Service Director. - Takes patient and guest orders for meal selections. Follows dietcompliances and is able to evaluate meal selections for adherenceto special diet restrictions. Makes decisions which satisfy thecustomer yet stay within the hospital philosophy & medicalrestrictions. - Works with clinical staff to meet patients' nutritional needs &improve satisfaction. - Is friendly, courteous, & highly responsible.
