The Food Service Worker I provides safe, timely, and accurate preparation, assembly, delivery, and clean-up of meals and food items for patients, residents, and guests. This role supports quality care and customer satisfaction by following department procedures, food safety and sanitation guidelines, and customer service standards. Responsibilities include preparing and delivering patient trays and nourishments, assisting in retail/cafeteria service, cleaning and sanitizing dishes and equipment, stocking supplies, and maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment.

  • Prepare, assemble, and deliver patient trays, nourishments, and
    snacks according to diet specifications.
    • Serve and assist customers in cafeteria/retail areas; follow portion
    control and cash handling procedures.
    • Promote excellent customer service by assisting patients, residents,
    and guests courteously and respectfully.
    • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment; complete
    daily and weekly cleaning tasks.

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.

Experience:

  • None

License(s)/Certification(s):

  • ServSafe Food Handler preferred. Training is provided.
