The Student Activities And Events Coordinator supports the planning, coordination, promotion, and execution of student programs, campus events, and co-curricular activities. This position serves as a key liaison between Student Life and the Marketing and Events team to support the coordination, promotion, and execution of student programs, campus events, and co-curricular activities.
The role provides graduate students with hands-on experience in marketing, student engagement, event management, and leadership development while contributing to a vibrant campus community.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:
Supervisory responsibilities: Assist the EVENTS & COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST with supervising and delegating tasks to student workers.
Qualification requirements:
Reasoning ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to analyze data.
Work environment/physical demands: This position has a designated workstation located in the library but requires frequent work across multiple campus locations to support event planning and execution. The role involves regular movement around campus and assisting with event setup and breakdown, including arranging chairs, tables, signage, and other event materials. The position may require standing for extended periods and occasionally lifting or moving event supplies and equipment.
