Lohr Family Dentistry is dedicated to providing high-quality oral care for patients of all ages using the newest technology for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Our practice emphasizes preventive dentistry and patient education to reduce the need for invasive dental procedures. We offer a wide range of services, including cleanings, exams, fillings, teeth whitening, cosmetic bonding, veneers, crowns, bridges, extractions, implants, partials, and dentures. This position is for a registered dental assistant holding a valid Iowa license, RDA, EFDA, or CDA/RDA. The ideal candidate would have some chairside dental assisting experience and a willingness to obtain their EFDA.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Greeting and seating patients in a warm and friendly manner
• Preparing and setting up treatment rooms for patient care
• Sterilizing instruments
• Making digital radiographs and taking intraoral photos
• Making preliminary impressions and scanning
• Assisting the doctor chairside
• Turning over and disinfecting treatment rooms
• Excellent documentation of procedures completed and materials used in patients' digital charts
• Taking inventory of supplies for order and stocking treatment rooms
• At times this position will require scheduling appointments, answering the phone, and taking payments.

We are looking for an applicant who is compassionate and caring towards every patient. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented and meticulous with infection control. We are also looking for coachable candidates who welcome constructive feedback.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
