Job Position: Secretary
Location: Sioux City, IA 51101
Pay Rate: $25.00/hr
Shift: 8:00AM - 5:00PM
Description: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Legal Secretary to support our legal team. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and prior experience working in a legal office environment.
Responsibilities:
-Transcription of legal dictation
-Requesting and managing medical records
-Drafting and formatting legal documents
-Ordering and maintaining office supplies
-Filing and maintaining accurate legal records
-Screening and communicating with potential clients via phone and email
-Working with attorney trust accounts, including writing checks and balancing sub-accounts
Requirements:
-Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a legal office setting
-Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, WordPerfect, TABS, and related software
-Experience working with a lawyer's trust account
-Typing speed of at least 60 words per minute
-Professional phone and email communication skills
-Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
Preferred Qualifications:
-Experience in Workers' Compensation, Personal Injury, or Social Security Disability law
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Compensation:
Starting at $25.00 per hour, with higher pay available based on experience
