ProSource, a leader in the right-of-way, acquisition, and relocation industry, is seeking an experienced Transmission Right of Way Agent for a potential transmission project. Headquartered in Minneapolis, MN, ProSource is experiencing strong growth and is looking for dedicated, professional Right of Way Agents to join our expanding team.
The Right of Way Agent is responsible for acquiring the property rights necessary to construct, operate, and maintain a large-scale high-voltage transmission project. This role involves direct landowner engagement, negotiation, documentation, and coordination with internal and external project teams. The ideal candidate will have experience working on transmission lines at 345kV, 500kV or 765kV and will be comfortable managing complex acquisition activities across multiple parcels and stakeholders.
510+ years of experience in right-of-way, land acquisition, or related real estate work
Exposure on at least two high-voltage transmission projects, strong preferred, preferably 345kV, 500kV or 765kV
Proven ability to manage negotiations, resolve conflicts, and build strong landowner relationships
Experience with condemnation / eminent domain, including supporting legal processes
Proficiency with GIS platforms, parcel mapping tools, and title research
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, surveys, and construction plans
Comfortable working collaboratively with engineers, attorneys, permitting staff, and client representatives
Strong written and verbal communication skills; excellent documentation discipline
IRWA certification or coursework (or equivalent experience) strongly preferred
Familiarity with regional land-use laws (or willingness to rapidly learn region-specific requirements)
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Ability to pass background, MVR, and drug screening (if required by client)
The Right of Way Agent will spend time both in the field and in an office environment, using a computer and other standard equipment. The position requires regular travel to landowner locations, agency offices, and project field sites. Agents may be required to sit, stand, drive, or walk properties for extended periods and may occasionally lift light equipment or documents. Travel requirements may vary by project; mileage reimbursement or per diem may be available based on assignment.
