The Role

Kyndryl Consult is the fastest growing business within the organization and instrumental to the company's strategic growth objectives. You will play a key leadership role across multi-disciplinary teams, guiding them through complex consulting engagements and be responsible for creating and positioning strategic change agendas within Kyndryl's largest accounts across the C-suite, spanning the intersection between complex Business and IT customer solutions, transformations that impact across the entire customer Eco-system.

As a Consult Partner, you will have a pivotal role in driving profitable growth, leveraging our comprehensive capabilities to build strong client relationships, and leading your team to success. This role demands a strong presence, industry expertise, and the ability to cultivate relationships with CXO-level clients. Your leadership will be critical in fostering talent development and innovation within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership & Growth:
    Develop and execute the comprehensive cloud practice strategy around public cloud, private cloud and hybrid environments, aligning it with overall business objectives and market trends. Identify growth opportunities, drive revenue expansion, and scale service offerings across multiple cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc.).
  • People & Talent Management:
    Oversee attraction, retention, and development of top-tier cloud talent. Partner with HR and Talent Acquisition to build a diverse, inclusive, and high-performing team. Champion leadership development and continuous learning programs to enhance cloud skills and capabilities.
  • Client & Stakeholder Engagement:
    Establish and maintain trusted advisor relationships with C-suite and business leaders of client organizations. Lead client engagements, promote cloud adoption strategies, and ensure delivery excellence with a focus on business outcomes and innovation.
  • Service Delivery & Innovation:
    Drive operational excellence in cloud solutions delivery, ensuring consistent quality, scalability, and security. Lead innovation initiatives leveraging emerging cloud technologies (AI/ML, serverless, containerization, DevOps) to differentiate service offerings.
  • Financial & Business Management:
    Oversee P&L responsibility for the cloud practice, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Optimize resource utilization and invest strategically in capabilities and partnerships.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    Collaborate with other practice leads, technology partners, sales, and marketing to create integrated solutions. Promote cloud-first digital transformation initiatives internally and for clients.
Practice Areas

Private Cloud Components
  • Virtualization: Core technology enabling multiple virtual machines on physical servers, managed by hypervisors like VMware, Hyper-V, or KVM, providing resource isolation and scalability.
  • Storage: Scalable and resilient storage architectures including block, file, and object storage, with mechanisms for data redundancy, backup, and tiering.
  • Networking: Secure, high-performance networking using software-defined networking (SDN), VLANs, and micro-segmentation for workload isolation and traffic management.
  • Security: Multi-layered security including identity and access management (IAM), role-based access control (RBAC), encryption, threat detection, and compliance with regulations (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.).
  • Management & Automation: Centralized management tools for monitoring, policy enforcement, and automation (Infrastructure as Code, IaC) to provision and scale resources efficiently.
  • Deployment Models: On-premises private clouds, hosted private clouds, managed private clouds, and virtual private clouds within public cloud infrastructure.
Public Cloud Components
  • Cloud Provider Selection: Evaluation and recommendation of major public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud according to client needs.
  • Cloud Migration: Planning and execution of migration strategies for applications and data to the public cloud.
  • Cloud Optimization: Continuous monitoring and optimization for cost savings, scalability, and performance in public cloud usage.
  • Cloud-Native Development: Design and development of cloud-native applications leveraging microservices, containers, Kubernetes, serverless, and DevOps practices.
  • Security & Compliance: Public cloud security architecture, controls, and compliance frameworks tailored to client regulatory requirements.
  • Service Models: Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), Software as a Service (SaaS) consultation and implementation guidance.
Cross-Cutting Components
  • Hybrid & Multi-Cloud Strategy: Integration of private and public cloud environments to offer flexible, secure, and optimized IT infrastructure.
  • Governance & Risk Management: Defining governance policies, controls, and risk mitigation across cloud environments.
  • Business Alignment & Advisory: Cloud strategy alignment with business outcomes, including cost-benefit analysis, ROI, and digital transformation enablement.
  • Talent & Capability Building: Developing cloud skills and capabilities within consulting teams and client organizations.
  • Partnerships: Alliances with leading cloud service providers and technology vendors to enhance service offerings.

Qualifications:
  • Proven senior leadership experience (10+ years) in consulting or professional services with a focus on cloud strategy and delivery.
  • Strong experience managing large, complex cloud consulting practices, including P&L accountability.
  • Deep expertise across hybrid environments, on-premise technologies (x86/power), major cloud platforms (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and cloud-native technologies.
  • Demonstrated success in workforce development, talent management, and driving a diverse and inclusive culture.
  • Exceptional client relationship management skills with a track record of delivering business transformation projects.
  • Strong business acumen paired with hands-on technical expertise.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or related field; advanced degree (MBA, Master's) preferred.
