Description of Job Function:

The Vice President of Global Operations provides executive leadership and strategic direction for AIB International's global operational functions, ensuring excellence in service delivery, innovation, financial performance, and customer experience. This role drives alignment between operational execution and enterprise strategy while strengthening AIB's position as a global leader in food safety, technical services, and education.

As a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, this leader shapes global growth strategy, advances operational effectiveness, fosters a high-performance culture, and ensures scalable systems and processes that support sustainable expansion.

Responsibilities:

Executive Leadership and Strategy

  • Serve as a strategic partner to the President & CEO and Executive Leadership Team.
  • Develop and execute a global operations strategy aligned with AIB's mission, vision, and long-term growth objectives.
  • Translate AIB business strategy into clear operational priorities, measurable objectives, and performance outcomes for all Operations departments including Food Safety Services, Quality Control and Food Labeling.
  • Represent AIB as an industry leader through active engagement in key industry associations and global forums.
Global Operational Oversight
  • Oversee the day-to-day activities of the global operations team, including budgeting, planning and staff development
  • Ensure consistent operational standards, quality controls, and service excellence across all regions.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, scalability, and customer satisfaction.
  • Lead the demand planning and resource forecasting in partnership with commercial teams to optimize capacity and revenue growth.
  • Align with commercial leadership and promote business development lead generation activities.
Financial and Business Performance
  • Own the global operations budget, ensuring disciplined financial management and adherence to approved spend.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators to ensure profitability and sustainable growth.
  • Identify new revenue opportunities through innovation, market analysis, and strategic expansion initiatives.
Customer and Industry Engagement
  • Partner closely with sales and client services teams to ensure exceptional customer experience.
  • Strengthen relationships with key global clients, industry partners, associations, and regulatory bodies.
  • Serve as an executive sponsor for strategic customer relationships.
Talent Leadership and Culture
  • Build and develop a diverse, high performing global team that enables achievement of targeted results and timely/effective execution of the team strategy.
  • Foster a culture of inclusion, engagement, and continuous learning.
  • Ensure succession planning and leadership development across the global operations organization.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in food science, operations management, business, or related field required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of fifteen years of progressive leadership experience within the food, baking, ingredients, or related technical services industries.
  • At least seven years of senior leadership experience with global operational responsibility.
  • Demonstrated success leading multi regional teams.
  • Strong understanding of global food safety standards, regulatory frameworks, and industry trends.
  • Proven ability to drive operational transformation and growth in a global environment.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking, financial acumen, and executive communication skills.
  • Participate in the Executive Leadership Team and Board of Directors meetings, delivering clear, data driven presentations that inform strategic decision making and influence organizational direction.
  • Must be willing to travel domestically and internationally as needed up to 20% annually.
