Procurement Analyst (Remote)

Description:

Our client, a major utility organization, is seeking a Procurement Analyst to support a high-volume purchasing department. This role is responsible for supporting procurement operations related to materials and services used in utility operations, including IT equipment, security services, landscaping, traffic control, and materials used in electricity generation.

The ideal candidate will have intermediate purchasing experience, strong system skills in SAP and Ariba, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while supporting procurement compliance and supplier management activities.

  • Support purchasing activities for both complex and non-complex materials and services.
  • Issue Requests for Quotation (RFQs) and assist with quotation analysis.
  • Create and process purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and change orders.
  • Support purchases made under existing master service agreements.
  • Manage the administration of contracts, purchase orders, and related invoices.
  • Prepare reports to support internal audits and procurement compliance reviews.
  • Conduct internal self-assessments and support internal and external audit requests.
  • Evaluate supplier viability and sustainability.
  • Assist with supplier onboarding and completion of vendor registration forms.
  • Review supplier information including Dunn & Bradstreet reporting and ISNET ratings.
  • Ensure purchase orders are coded correctly for tax assessments in coordination with internal tax teams.
  • Monitor purchase order acknowledgements and track deliverables.
  • Maintain sourcing documentation and procurement records.
  • Assist with supplier performance tracking and vendor relationship management.
  • Perform market research and analysis to support procurement strategies.
  • Interact daily with internal stakeholders including engineers, developers, regulatory teams, and management.
  • Prepare spreadsheets, review insurance certificates, and support budget documentation.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of procurement or purchasing experience.
  • Experience working with SAP and Ariba procurement systems (majority of work will be performed in these systems).
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume procurement environment.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
Education
  • High School diploma required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, but candidates with relevant procurement experience will be considered.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Utility or energy industry experience is a plus.
  • Experience supporting purchasing for materials, services, or technical equipment.

Pay Range: $41.00 - $43.00 per hour (Depending on experience and qualifications)
