Job Overview

As a Retail Sales Associate in a Store-in-Store environment, you will play a crucial role in bringing the T-Mobile brand to life. In high-traffic partner locations, your active engagement with customers is essential for success. You'll be an ambassador who creates excitement around our products and services. Your ability to build and deepen customer relationships through meaningful interactions is key. You will exceed performance targets by excelling in sales, providing exceptional customer experiences, and meeting quality metrics.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Proactively engage with a diverse range of customers in a bustling retail environment, utilizing digital tools, effective communication, and showcasing the value of T-Mobile solutions.
  • Consistently leverage digital self-serve tools during customer interactions and the onboarding process. Identify customer needs using solution-based selling techniques to demonstrate the value of T-Mobile products and services. Help customers understand self-service options through the T-Mobile app to establish meaningful connections.
  • Complete training on in-store experiences, new skills, products, processes, and reference resources. Stay updated on personal results, current promotions, and company updates to be Customer Ready at all times. Collaborate with nearby store locations for optimal customer onboarding and perform essential store operations and security protocols.
  • Demonstrate a customer-obsessed mindset. Connect on a personal level with customers, building rapport and trust with every interaction. Proactively reach out to potential customers, manage follow-ups, capture referrals, and develop relationships with new and existing customers. Have the ability to perform price overrides for specialty offers.
  • Build relationships with local leadership and teams to enhance the customer experience from account setup to device support and servicing.

Education and Work Experience:

  • High School Diploma/GED (Required)
  • 6 months of customer service and/or sales experience, retail environment preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Customer Satisfaction: A passionate customer advocate who enjoys connecting and having fun with customers while effectively balancing experience and performance goals. (Required)
  • Team Building: Eager to be part of the game-changing T-Mobile store team. Willingness to collaborate with peers and store leaders, sharing best practices and resolving customer issues. (Required)
  • Retail Sales: A competitive drive and confidence to excel in a fast-paced sales environment. (Required)

Licenses and Certifications:

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States

Travel: No travel required.

Hourly Base Pay: $17.50, plus $5.00 per hour training pay. Within the first 90 days of employment, Mobile Associates receive on-the-job training with hourly training pay. After training, you can promote to the Mobile Expert role with an annualized incentive target of $18,000/year. Actual incentives vary based on performance and full-time status. All employees at T-Mobile are guaranteed to earn $20/hour including base pay and incentives. Additionally, every T-Mobile employee is eligible for an Annual Stock Grant.
