Position Summary

Our client a professional services company based in NYC, is looking to hire afull-time Project / Program Manager. Reporting directly to the Chief Information Officer (CIO), you will lead a diverse range of technology projects critical to the organization's success. Responsibilities include overseeing the project portfolio, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring timely and high-quality project delivery. Your leadership and expertise will support strategic initiatives and contribute to the continuous improvement of business processes.

Key Performance Objectives (KPOs)

1. Develop and Implement a Comprehensive Project PortfolioWithin the first 90 days, work with the CIO to assess and structure the current project portfolio. By the end of the first quarter, deliver a detailed roadmap outlining timelines, resource allocations, and critical milestones for all ongoing projects. Ensure that projects align with strategic business goals.
2. Lead the Requirements Definition ProcessOver the first six months, collaborate with business stakeholders, business analysts, and IS teams to define clear project scopes for three high-priority initiatives. Establish robust documentation processes that standardize requirements gathering across the organization.
3. Deliver Key Technology ProjectsWithin 12 months, successfully lead and complete at least two major technology projects on schedule and within budget. Deliverables include a measurable improvement in operational metrics and end-user satisfaction based on pre-defined KPIs.
4. Enhance Governance and Reporting PracticesEstablish a project governance framework within the first six months, including a centralized dashboard that provides real-time updates on project statuses. Train team members on its use to ensure transparency and accountability.
5. Drive Continuous ImprovementOver the course of the first year, identify and implement three process improvements in change management, quality assurance, or project execution. Develop actionable recommendations based on lessons learned during project post-mortems.

Additionally, you will also do the following:

• Conduct an operational audit of the current project management framework within the first 60 days and propose recommendations to streamline workflows.
• Within 90 days, develop a cross-departmental training program to improve team collaboration and project delivery capabilities.
• Partner with IT and external vendors to evaluate and select new project management tools by the end of the first quarter.
• Establish a risk assessment process within the first 120 days to identify and mitigate potential project disruptions.
• Achieve a 90% on-time project delivery rate across the portfolio within the first 12 months.

Metrics of Success

• Portfolio roadmap delivered within the first quarter.
• Completion of at least two major projects with a minimum 95% stakeholder satisfaction score.
• Reduction in project delays by 20% through enhanced risk management.
• Implementation of three measurable process improvements that boost efficiency by 15%.

This organization has great benefits, and the position is bonus eligible. This is a hybrid work environment (3 in and 2 WFH). Salary offered will be based on levels of experience and your accomplishments. The salary range is $130,000 to $160,000.
