Introduction

The role supports initiatives by accurately estimating, designing, and delivering high-quality reports, dashboards, data models, and automated workflows that enable the business to make data-driven decisions. This position involves close collaboration with platform teams, business stakeholders, and technical partners to ensure alignment with BI best practices and governance standards. The role also includes working across the broader Power Platform to support automation and solutions that enhance overall efficiency. Strong communication skills are essential, with the ability to teach, coach, and guide non-technical audiences.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Applicants must be able to work directly for us on W2.
• Advanced skills in Power BI, including DAX, data modeling, RLS, dataset management, report design, and performance tuning.
• Proficiency in writing complex, high-performance SQL queries across multiple database technologies.
• Strong ETL and data preparation capabilities using Power Query (M).
• Proven ability to build clear, concise, insightful dashboards with a strong UX focus.
• Experience with the Power Platform, including Power Automate and Power Apps.
• Understanding of data pipelines, semantic modeling, KPIs, and enterprise BI lifecycle.

• Experience with metadata documentation, version control, and data security standards.
• Familiarity with monitoring report refresh cycles, usage patterns, and performance.
• Experience engaging business lines to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI datasets, reports, and dashboards following established best practices and design guidelines.
• Write efficient SQL queries to access, join, and validate data from various enterprise databases.
• Develop intuitive, user-friendly dashboards using modern visualization techniques tailored to business needs.
• Develop Power Automate flows to support alerting, data refresh cycles, or workflow automation.
• Build or enhance Power Apps that integrate with Power BI datasets or help streamline operational processes.
