As a Shift Manager responsible for opening and closing the restaurant, you will play a vital role in leading your team to success. You'll ensure that everything runs smoothly during your shifts, focusing on cleanliness, safety, and exceptional customer service. Your leadership will help cultivate a friendly and efficient environment while maximizing the restaurant's profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Train and reinforce food safety protocols among crew members.
  • Manage cash operations, including register setup, cash drawer reconciliation, and cash verification at open/close.
  • Oversee daily operations and ensure restaurant readiness through effective walk-throughs.
  • Utilize flow charts and checklists to streamline shift processes and optimize labor efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the management team to train and communicate effectively with crew members.
  • Ensure high-quality standards in production and service while maintaining a professional atmosphere.
  • Implement shift-specific procedures as outlined in the Daily Operations Plan.
  • Monitor labor management, including breaks and shift tracking.
  • Assist in managing food costs through waste tracking and daily inventory counts.
  • Execute cleaning schedules by coaching crew members on assigned tasks.

What We Expect From You:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
  • Preferred: 1+ years of restaurant experience.
  • Capability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced setting.
  • Strong leadership skills and a customer-focused attitude.
  • Professional demeanor when addressing customer concerns.
  • Adaptability to various conditions including noise and temperature changes.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift 25-50 pounds as necessary.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including different shifts and days.
  • Ability to transfer between locations as needed.
  • Must obtain or be willing to certify in ServSafe.
