Job Title : Data Governance Developer

Job Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced Data Governance Developer to design, implement, and enhance enterprise data governance solutions using Atlan, Python, and Java.
This role will focus on operationalizing data governance frameworks, building integrations, improving data quality and lineage, and enabling secure and scalable data access across analytics and AI platforms.
Data Governance & Framework Implementation

• Implement and operationalize enterprise Data Governance frameworks and standards
• Develop and maintain governance runbooks, policies, and procedures
• Define and implement data asset certification processes
• Establish and enhance data governance operating models
• Formalize Data Owner, Data Steward, and Technical Owner roles
• Deliver governance training and enablement sessions

• Configure and implement Atlan Data Catalog
• Build and enhance data lineage and metadata management
• Integrate Atlan with enterprise data and analytics platforms
• Implement data quality monitoring and remediation workflows
• Work with Monte Carlo or similar data observability tools

• Design and develop integrations using Python and Java
• Improve interoperability across data, analytics, and AI tools
• utomate governance workflows and processes
• Implement access control and permission standards

• Design scalable and efficient data governance architecture
• nalyze existing systems and recommend improvements
• Conduct code reviews and architecture reviews
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance
• Create technical documentation and architecture designs

• Partner with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements
• lign governance strategies with project timelines and priorities
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues
• Drive security, compliance, and data protection initiatives
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and governance best practices

• 12+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Governance, or Data Platforms
• Strong hands-on experience with Atlan
• Experience with Monte Carlo or other data observability tools
• Strong programming experience in Python
• Working knowledge of Java
• Experience with data lineage, metadata management, and data quality
• Experience implementing enterprise data governance frameworks
• Experience working with data stewardship and ownership models
• Strong architecture and integration experience
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

• Experience integrating governance with AI/ML and analytics platforms
• Experience in enterprise-scale data platform environments
• Relevant certifications in data governance or cloud technologies
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
