divh2Relief Protective Security Officer-Pso (Federal Contract)/h2pResponsibilities: As a security contractor for the Federal Protective Service, you will be assigned to work in various federally owned and leased facilities and properties. Your duties will include:/pulliControl access to specific areas of a facility./liliEnforce property rules and regulations./liliDetect and report criminal acts./liliStop and if possible, detain persons engaging in criminal activities./liliProvide security against loss from fire or mechanical equipment failure./liliRespond to emergency situations involving the safety and security of the facility./liliDeny and prevent entry to those persons refusing to submit to a voluntary inspection./liliBe available to work any shift or location. Schedule may include weekends or holidays./li/ulpQualifications: Must have verifiable documentation of at least one experience level and at least one educational level or any reasonable combination listed below:/pulliExperience: A minimum of two (2) years of security (armed) or law enforcement experience; or A minimum of two (2) years of honorable service as a member of any U.S. Armed Forces component./liliMust be able to demonstrate firearm proficiency (handgun preferred) Having previously passed a firearm qualification course through the military, law enforcement agency or security company is preferred (especially handgun)./liliEducation: Received a High School or General Equivalency Diploma or a minimum of 60 credit hours, in a related field from an accredited learning institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or as identified on a DD 214; or Successful completion of a federal/state certified law enforcement education and training or police officers standard training course that may result in a law enforcement appointment or commission./li/ulpAnyone interested in applying for this position must submit their resume and cover letter to ...@vt-sti.com./p/div
