Data Engineer (Production Support) - REMOTE - 1 YEAR CONTRACT

This role focuses on support activities, with minimal new development. The resource will conduct daily monitoring of pipelines, troubleshoot issues, and manage ServiceNow tickets.

The Opportunity:

We are seeking a software engineer, ETL/data integration, or big data developer to join our production support team. The candidate will support data ingestion, transformation, and distribution to end users, and perform analysis, troubleshooting, and resolution of reported issues.

Responsibilities include:

1. Analyzing and resolving issues in real-time, including bug identification and root-cause analysis.
2. Collaborating with development and operations teams to escalate issues.
3. Monitoring production activities to ensure timely reporting, tracking, and communication of incidents.
4. Identifying opportunities for process improvements.

The role involves developing scalable data solutions for moving data across systems in real-time and batch modes, designing and developing database objects, and creating ETL processes to transform raw data into SQL databases. Documentation and continuous learning are also important.

Required skills include:

• Programming: Python, SQL, PLSQL, VB
• Databases: Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL
• Big data technologies: Azure Synapse & Databricks
• Experience with SAP Business Objects, Cisco Tidal scheduler, and SAP ABAP is a plus.

Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.
