Laboratory Supervisor Responsibilities:

The Laboratory Supervisor will be responsible for assisting the Laboratory Manager and will help ensure the Laboratory Services are provided in a safe, efficient and cost-effective manner that enhances patient, staff and physician satisfaction in collaboration with appropriate interdisciplinary team members. In addition, the laboratory supervisor will assist with supervising staff, managing daily operations, ensuring quality control, and performing administrative tasks. Acts as a liaison between different departments to facilitate seamless communication. Collaborates with staff to address and resolve any operational challenges and foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

Laboratory Supervisor Requirements:

• Must hold a Bachelors degree from an NAACLS-approved School of Laboratory Science.
• Must be registered or eligible by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or registry of equal status.
• Certification as Medical Laboratory Scientist from the ASCP or AMT.
• Experience working in a hospital laboratory setting required.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred but not required.
