The Host greets and seats guests for food and beverage service, while maintaining the seating flow and service of the dining room.
Greets guests on arrival and regards on departure in a warm and inviting manner
Maintains full knowledge of restaurant layout and seats patrons based off of specific layout
Works with communication devices such as telephones, two-way radio, guest paging system, and both computerized and manual table management system
Interacts with guests to maintain great guest relations and provide opportunities for loyalty
Ensures and maintains cleanliness and orderliness of the host podium and ensures the dining room floor is presentable at all times
Communicates to management in a timely fashion any guest compliments or complaints
Performs other related duties as assigned
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Detail-oriented and thorough with strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to work under stress in a fast-paced environment
Basic knowledge of menu items and service as well as restaurant operations and culinary terminology
Basic knowledge of dining room standards and procedures
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Customer service or food & beverage experience preferred
Must obtain valid gaming license, where applicable
