Microbiologist Opportunity

Kelly Science & Clinical is seeking a microbiologist near North Sioux City, SD. Contract to hire. Shift: Monday - Friday 8am-5pm. Compensation: DOE. Responsibilities include developing, validating, implementing, and documenting new capabilities for routine testing laboratories or clients; planning, executing and writing reports for projects; identifying, preparing, and presenting technical training for all levels of the internal organization; interfacing with clients to present and explain results of research studies or validations; identifying and evaluating emerging technologies and food testing trends to ensure the company offers the most current testing to its customer base; assisting in determination of appropriate testing method for laboratory clients; interfacing with vendors, equipment suppliers, outside agencies and professional organizations as necessary; ensuring compliance to ISO 17025 standards are maintained.

Qualifications include advanced studies in food science and/or microbiological analysis; bachelor's degree in food science or related field required; proven ability to design and conduct research activities within the food industry; demonstrated leadership and team building competencies; strong project management and complex problem solving abilities; ability to contribute effectively in a cross-functional team setting and to build effective relationships with team and customer; excellent oral and written skills.
