Job Description
Senior Structures Engineer - Great Plains Region
Bring your bridge and structural design expertise to a team that values balance, collaboration, and innovation.This senior-level opportunity offers leadership on impactful transportation projects across the Midwest - from elegant roadway bridges to vital rail structures.
What You'll Do
- Lead bridge and structural design projects ranging from small drainage structures to large multi-span bridges
- Serve as senior project engineer and client contact - leading meetings, interviews, and presentations
- Support construction by reviewing submittals, responding to RFIs, and conducting field visits
- Manage project budgets, scopes, and internal team forecasting
- Guide structural design efforts for complex transportation projects
- Maintain quality standards and contribute to continuous improvement
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering (Master's preferred)
- 10-15 years of bridge or structural design experience (bridges, retaining walls, foundations, culverts)
- Advanced use of structural analysis and design software
- Familiarity with AASHTO standards and procedures
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Nebraska, Iowa, or South Dakota
- Experience in concrete and steel girder bridge design; rail structure experience a plus
$135,000 - $160,000 annually. Final offer based on skills, qualifications, and experience.
