Seeking an innovative and student-centered educator to lead our new Digital Communications Pathway. This teacher will support students in developing skills in digital storytelling, graphic design, social media strategy, multimedia production, and communication in professional contexts. This role is part of our Business & Communications Academy and is aligned to real-world career pathways and industry trends.
Key Responsibilities:

• Teach Digital Communications I, II, and III (Capstone) according to established pathway sequence.
• ?Design engaging, authentic, project-based learning experiences.
• Teach foundational and applied skills in:
  • Graphic & visual design principles
  • Social media planning and analytics
  • Video and/or audio production
  • Digital storytelling and branding
  • Responsible and ethical use of AI tools
• Collaborate with Business & Communications Academy staff, counselors, and advisory board partners.
• Maintain strong industry and community partnerships for guest speakers, projects, and work-based learning experiences.
• Support students in career exploration, resume building, and presentation of professional work.

Valid Nebraska Teaching Certificate with endorsement in Business, Marketing, Career & Technical Education, Communication, Media, or related field.preferred
Additional preferred qualifications include:

• Experience with one or more of the following (or willingness to learn):
  • ?Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro)
  • Canva / Figma
  • Video editing or podcast production
  • Social media strategy or branding
  • AI-assisted content tools
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Foster creativity and confidence in creating a positive classroom culture
• Prior work experience with project-based learning
