Job Specifications:
Work experience is result of working in heavy construction or working with industrial equipment maintenance
Ability to make simple calculations and read/understand drawings, work instructions and other documentation
Able to perform more advanced welding techniques efficiently and with a consistent level of quality
Has achieved certifications of mill wright standards and possess certifications in other standards
Critical thinking ability that provide potential opportunities to execute the work more efficiently or safely
Education Requirements
Certificate from Technical School, or with appropriate on the job experience
Intermediate knowledge of welding and metallurgy and basic theory of welding and correct application of welding.
Millwright certification such as NCCER or other nationally recognized program
Bilingual (English/Spanish) not required, but encouraged
Physical Demands
Standing for long periods of time
Typical work day of 12 - 14 hours, working 7 days per week (may be assigned to AM or PM shifts)
Climbing of stairs and/or ladders
Extensive travel by both driving truck and trailer and air (domestic and international)
Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to focus
Working Environment
Typical field environment: Work is typically performed at customer locations and involves working near or around operating or offline production equipment. Work environment Includes exposure to extreme hot and cold weather conditions. Working with elevated heights and also confined spaces. All sites require PPE, including special PPE such as respirators.
