As a Host Home Provider, you'll open your home to an individual with a disability and help them lead a fulfilling life. Your primary responsibilities will include maintaining a safe and healthy environment, mentoring, and assisting with daily living skills tailored to their needs.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:

• Supporting daily tasks such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, budgeting, and decision-making.
• Assisting with skill acquisition and fostering independence.
• Administering medication and supporting medical appointments.
• Promoting the individual's overall health and well-being.
• Documenting daily activities via a web-based case management application.
• Facilitating fun and leisure experiences that encourage community inclusion and socialization.
• Ensuring compliance with all state and agency policies.
• Communicating effectively with your support team.
• Providing necessary transportation.

Depending on Your Preference, Additional Duties May Include:

• Assisting with bathing, toileting, feeding, and behavioral support.
• Supporting medical protocols like seizures and feeding tubes.
• Caring for individuals with complex physical/medical needs.
• Addressing potential behavioral issues.

Requirements:

• Must be a Nebraska resident.
• Valid driver's license, car insurance, and current registration.
• Active home/renters insurance.
• Own or rent your own home/apartment/condo/townhouse.
• Aged 18 years or older.
• Experience is preferred but not required.
• Reliable access to a computer and internet.
• Willingness to complete all state-mandated training.
• Maintain a clean and safe home environment.
• Pass State/Federal and APS/CPS background checks.
