Job Summary:
The Patient Care Technician provides direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed nurse in a dialysis setting. This role supports patient safety, treatment accuracy, and emergency readiness while assisting with assessments and documenting all treatment-related information.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care under licensed nurse supervision
  • Assist with pre- and post-dialysis assessments and record documentation
  • Monitor and document treatment parameters on dialysis flow sheets
  • Report patient condition changes to supervising nurse or physician
  • Assist with emergency operational procedures and respond to dialysis-related emergencies
  • Perform CPR and emergency support in cases of cardiac or pulmonary arrest
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation in accordance with standards
Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Completion of CPR Certification
  • Ability to complete training in theory and practice of hemodialysis
  • Strong attention to detail for accurate documentation
  • Ability to respond effectively in emergency medical situations
Nice-to-Have Experience:
  • Previous patient care experience in a hospital or healthcare facility
  • Education in physical sciences or training in laboratory techniques
Required Skills:
  • Patient care delivery and monitoring
  • Dialysis treatment assistance
  • Emergency response (CPR-certified)
Preferred Skills:
  • Healthcare documentation accuracy
  • Hospital or dialysis center support experience
  • Basic laboratory or clinical techniques
Additional Skills:
  • Hemodialysis training program completion
  • Observation and reporting of patient condition changes
  • Collaboration with nurses and healthcare teams
