Join us and work alongside talented colleagues at a nationally recognized top 75 general contractor.Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesTravel - This position is based in Burnsville, MN, with up to 40% travel.Estimate costs, control projects, schedule, and track quantities.Support Project Managers, Engineers, Superintendents, and staff.Build relationships and communicate with owners, design partners, subcontractors, and workforce.Review shop drawings, submittals, schedules, and process RFIs.Monitor quality control, safety, and environmental programs.Assist with project layout and identify critical work items and long-lead procurement.Support monthly billing, cash flow projections, and change order processing.Manage document control, including submittals, schedules, and contract documents.Assist with delivery, inventory, and warehousing of materials and equipment.Resolve field problems and conflicts with subcontractors, suppliers, and workers.Maintain as-built drawings and manuals.Attend and lead meetings as needed.Perform other duties as assigned.Experience, Education & SkillsMinimum of 3 years of estimating or project management experience in heavy industrial construction.Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience.Ability to work effectively in a team and be self-motivated.Positive attitude and excellent motivation skills.Strong interpersonal skills for interfacing with clients, partners, and team members.Proficiency in MS Office, HCSS or similar estimating software, Agtek, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Word and Excel.Knowledge of Primavera.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Attention to detail and ability to recognize issues.Effective time management, multitasking, and prioritization skills.Valid Driver's License required.Working ConditionsConstruction site environment—ability to stand, walk, crawl, bend, reach, climb, and tolerate high noise levels.Office environment—extensive desk work, computer use, with occasional standing, bending, and lifting up to 20 pounds.Ames Construction is an equal opportunity employer.
