Position Purpose:

Provide mental health treatment services for adolescents, children, and their families to decrease hospitalization and crisis episodes, and to increase community functioning so clients can achieve their rehabilitative, resiliency, and recovery goals. This position includes the opportunity to become fully trained in Sand Tray Therapy at no cost to the clinician, as part of our commitment to holistic and trauma-informed care.

You'll provide continuity of program services in an ethical, legal, and moral manner within a safe and therapeutic environment, consistent with applicable regulatory and accreditation standards. Participate as a valued member of the outpatient clinical team.

Job Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Addiction Studies or other related field
  • Iowa license of a tLMHC or LMSW required or
  • Independently licensed in Iowa as a LISW, LMFT or LMHC (preferred)
  • Proficiency in using common computer applications such as word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software
  • Skilled in navigating and documenting within electronic healthcare records systems
  • Capable of completing required documentation accurately and within established timeframes
  • Experienced in providing individual, family, and group counseling
  • Collaborative team player with a strong ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Belief in the mission and vision of Rosecrance
Special Opportunity:
Clinicians hired for this position will receive fully paid training and certification in Sand Tray Therapy, a powerful expressive modality ideal for work with children and adolescents. No prior experience in sand tray therapy is required—we will support your professional growth.

Essential Responsibilities:

  1. Work hours prescribed by and any additional hours deemed necessary for the responsibilities assigned.
  2. Conduct individual, group, and family counseling and educational sessions for clients and/or family members.
  3. Complete client psychosocial and individualized treatment plan within required time frame.
  4. Identify client clinical and case management needs and work to address those needs.
  5. Educate client and client support members regarding all aspects of treatment, corresponding health issues and steps to recovery.
  6. Undertake primary case management responsibilities for designated clients.
  7. Ensure that documentation in client service record is maintained consistent with expectations defined by licensing, accreditation, and funding requirements.
  8. Maintain communications with all staff (e.g. admissions, case management and discharge plans
  9. Serve as a member of the team and participate in all team meetings and activities.
  10. Exercise confidentiality in keeping with the Code of Conduct and with the framework of the law.
  11. Deliver exceptional customer service consistently to every customer.
  12. Serve as a member of the Clinical Team and participate in all team meetings and activities.
  13. Serve as a role model and demonstrate positive guest relations in representing the agency.
  14. Assume other related responsibilities as delegated by management.


Schedule:
  • Monday-Friday; 8:30AM-5PM
Work Location: Rosecrance Jackson Centers, Sioux City, IA
