Job Description
Maintenance Mechanic Tech - 3rd Shift | $25/HR
Advance Services, Inc. is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic Technician to keep our production lines running at peak performance. In this hands-on role, you'll interpret diagrams, operation manuals, and manufacturer specifications to install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair a variety of mechanical equipment-from pneumatic tools and conveyor systems to high-speed production machines. Using hand tools, power tools, and precision-measuring instruments such as micrometers and dial indicators, you'll diagnose issues by observing equipment in operation and listening for unusual sounds, then perform corrective repairs to tight tolerances. You'll also conduct routine preventive maintenance-lubricating, adjusting, and replacing worn components-to minimize downtime and extend equipment life. Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques: monitoring compliance.
The ideal candidate will possess at least one year of hands-on maintenance experience-or equivalent technical training-such as an Associate's degree or certificate from a recognized two-year college or trade school. You're someone who can spot emerging wear patterns or performance anomalies before they lead to costly downtime, then quickly devise and implement the right corrective or preventive solution. You'll leverage strong mechanical instincts, a working knowledge of common production equipment, and comfort reading technical drawings to keep machines running at peak efficiency. Equally important, you communicate clearly and professionally-both verbally and in writing-whether you're walking a production operator through a lubrication procedure, documenting maintenance logs, or coordinating repair schedules with supervisors.
