Cook Room Operator

Hiring Immediately in the North Sioux City SD Area!

Pay: $18/ DOE

As a Cook Room Operator, you must be able to act proactively to ensure seamless team operations and effective collaboration. Cook Room Operator will lead by setting a good example and engaging the team to achieve goals.

Job Duties:

• Operate cooking equipment like kettles, vats, boilers, and steam cooking equipment.

• Read and follow work orders, recipes, and production specifications.

• Monitor and adjust temperature, pressure, and ingredient flow.

• Collect and inspect product samples for quality control.

• Control and operate cook room equipment.

• Ability to stage cookroom production for the next step process.

• Ability to understand, read, and complete all necessary paperwork, including FDA and USDA documents.

• Clean and sterilize equipment and work areas.

• Maintain detailed production logs and records.

Minimum Qualifications and Skills:

• High school diploma
  
• Must be able to demonstrate a good work history with at least one year of previous employment in the food industry.
• ?Must be able to work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Skills:

• Strong communication skills.

• Understanding of food processing techniques.

• Experience working with industrial cooking machinery.

• Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills.

• Ability to work efficiently and safely in hot, noisy environments.

• Strong attention to detail.
  
• Bi- lingual skills not required but preferred.

Shift: 2nd;? Monday-Friday (Occasional Saturdays)

Hours: 2:45 PM- 11:30 PM
