Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Sheet Metal Shop Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in fabrication and industrial maintenance and be able to perform a variety of tasks in a fast-paced shop environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Metal Fabrication and Welding:
  • Perform welding tasks using MIG, TIG, and Stick techniques.
  • Fabricate structural steel and miscellaneous iron components.
• Equipment Operation:
  • Use a break for metal forming and shaping.
  • Operate a forklift safely and efficiently.
• Measurements and Specifications:
  • Accurately read and interpret tape measures and other measurement tools.
• Industrial Maintenance:
  • Perform industrial maintenance and millwright tasks as required.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of welding and metal fabrication techniques.
• Experience with MIG, TIG, and Stick welding is preferred.
• Ability to accurately read a tape measure and other measuring devices.
• Proficient in operating a forklift.
• Familiarity with structural steel and iron fabrication.
• Experience in industrial maintenance or millwright work is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
• Good and punctual attendance.
• A strong interest in understanding how things work and a motivation to learn and improve.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Willingness to work in various weather conditions and environments.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
