Production employees at Smithfield handle materials and use hand tools, knives, machinery, and equipment to help deliver good food responsibly to Americas dinner table. Production team members at Smithfield perform physically demanding work that requires good hand-eye coordination, attention to detail, strength and stamina. Team members must be available to work scheduled hours, which may include mandatory overtime, depending upon production demands. Transporting empty and full racks (350-2500 lbs.) to production area, scales, & coolers. Scaling empty rack to get tare weight and document. Scaling full racks to get complete weight and documents. Loading and unloading product to and from racks Scooping product from vats/combos (approximately 5-40 lbs. per scoop)Other duties as assigned.
