Palmer Candy is looking for Line Feeders at our Hwy 75 location.

1st shift will work Monday-FridayMonday-Thursday hours are 5:00 am- 3:30 pm withFriday hours varying from 6 to 10-hour shifts. Saturday hours may be scheduled due to business needs.

Team Member s will be notified by plant management if schedules were to change outside of the times listed above.

Overall Purpose:

Produce and or package fine quality products in a safe, secure, and sanitary manner within the appropriate specifications outlined by company managers.

Essential Job Functions:

• Regular attendance.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all team members.
• Oversees their assigned line or lines to ensure the proper product is being run.
• Ability to rotate to different lines as scheduled by Management,
• Responsibility to train new Team Members.
• Document the proper code dates, lot numbers or any other regulatory information on forms or in computer.
• Follows all company, OSHA, FDA and health policies and procedures ensuring a sanitary working environment.
• Assures a consistent high level of conformance with sanitation standards.
• Responsible for performing allergen washes on their line, including washing belting and other items with high pressure hoses.
• Ensure that all safety procedures are followed, and all proper PPE is worn when needed.
• Oversees the ordering of materials and services needed to properly carry on the functions of their line from warehouse over radio.
• Check equipment to ensure that it meets health and safety regulations.
• Understands the importance of teamwork and good communication.
• Ability to interact with all functions within the plant and the ability to work directly with individuals at all levels and functions.
• Ability to work overtime as needed and as required.
• Ability to maintain acceptable standards of conduct.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisors and/or management.

• Possible exposure to minor burns or cuts
• Standing for long periods of time
• Possible repetitive motion and fast paced movement
• Frequent to Continual use of hands to handle, control or feel objects.

The Manufacturing Repack Line Feeder physical demands include: Occasional lift of 40 lbs. from 6 to 51 ; Occasional carry of 40 lbs. for 5 ft.; Frequent grip up to 35 lbs.; Occasional Climb up to 10 ; Constant Forward Reach; Frequent Neck Flexion; Frequent Neck Rotation; Frequent Bend; Constant Hand Coordination; Constant Balance; Occasional Horizontal Push/Pull up to 45 lbs. for 200 ft.; Occasional Vertical Push up to 30 lbs.; Constant Stand; Constant Walk. PDC Level: Medium.
